These stunningly appointed apartments right beside the glittering Ionian Sea in the picturesque town of Monasterace. There are two blocks of apartments, 18 in each block and you can choose between a one or two bedroom property. There will also be a communal swimming pool. Monasterace is a small town just a short drive north of Bianco and Roccella Ionica. The town is a popular holiday destination because of its beautiful sandy beaches and marina.
Monasterace is a small town just a short drive north of Bianco and Roccella Jonica. Perched on a hill top overlooking Monasterace Marina and the glittering Ionian Sea, Monasterace is a traditional Calabrian town, clinging to the side of a hill, dotted with churches, narrow streets and plenty of character. The town is divided into two distinct parts - the mountains and the sea, the latter being ideal for sun seekers, water sports fans or for scuba divers keen on underwater archaeology! The regions perfect climate is the reason people flock to the Ionian coast - even in winter, temperatures are mild. Construction Schedule Construction is expected to be complete on 1st December 2007. Payment Terms We have a refundable reservation fee policy which enables you to hold an apartment for up to 30 days without actually committing to the purchase. This enables you to view the development and do further due diligence prior to signing your contract and paying your first instalment.
We will accept verbal reservations which are valid for 72 hours.
The refundable reservation fee is €3,000 and should accompany a signed reservation form which is available upon request. This reservation fee is deducted from your first instalment. After 30 days of receipt of your reservation form and cheque, the reservation fee becomes non-refundable.
FIRST INSTALMENT - 50% upon signing the Preliminary Contract of Sale within 30 days of making your reservation.
FINAL INSTALMENT - 50% upon completion and signing the notary deed. About the Immediate Vicinity Monasterace treasures its food and Calabria is the garden of Italy, so the emphasis is on fresh locally caught fish and seafood, fresh locally grown fruit and vegetables (dishes featuring mushrooms, peas, beans and pasta are popular) but you will find that spicy salami, hot peppers, sweet sun dried tomatoes, almonds, oranges and delicious fresh bread feature on menus everywhere. Religious holidays are a way of life in Calabria with often spectacular street parties, fireworks and parades - as are holidays celebrating the abundance of food. The town has a Sausage Festival in August and a Wine Festival in October, interspersed with many interesting saints days holidays.
There are two airports Lamezia and Regio De Calabria within a 55-60 minute drive from Monasterace.
The Calabrese people are fiery and warm, open and welcoming. Traditionally hospitable and eager to share the beauty of the region they live in, you will find yourself making friends quickly and easily. As in the rest of Italy, Calabria has many feast days and festivals, such as the Calabrian Renaissance Festival with spectacular entertainment includes Jousting on Horseback or the Living Chess Game. It also has many religious and gastronomic festivals.
Calabria is also next to Sicily and trips via ferry to Messina are cheap and easy. Sicily is an amazing island where you can visit ancient ruins, climb Mount Etna, shop in the glamorous boutiques of Catania and indulge yourself in Sicily´s famous gelato (ice cream) bars or eat traditional Sicilian cannily desserts in cafes. Sicily also enjoys one of the best golf courses in Italy, the Picciolo Golf Club, in the village of Castiglione.
