Location

The 13th district of Budapest is a special and multi-coloured quarter of the town. District XIII, is historically the "well to do" area of Budapest, directly on the metro line (which service both city centre and universities). Flanking the Danube and home to the largest shopping centre in Central Europe, as a whole the entire area is seeing a lot of new developments .

Váci Street (not the pedestrianised one in city centre) has been a major street of Budapest for one and a half centuries connecting the city centre to the north side of Pest. These light industry activities that were formally prevalent in the area have disappeared now, and are being replaced with new commercial centres. New functions were given to the empty and left factory buildings and workshops (after some reconstruction).

The new houses, residential districts, housing projects, application of modern architectural and latest technical solutions are appreciated by the professional circles and architectural experts as well as the inhabitants of Budapest. So the structural economic transformation manifested in the townscape and resulted considerable increase in standards.
